Grain paper, black ink, 14.8x21cm, 2017 to present
The practice of drawing has always been present and more and more, it occupies a central place in my approach. At first as an element of research, drawing has become a way to “deposit” the images stored over time, the journey, encounters, emotions … They are the starting points, connections and articulations. Drawn with black ink with finesse and meticulousness in a small format (A5), they refer me to something of the order of the intimate. It is a “suspended” time in my practice, a time where things come together, are freed and then extended in embroidery. Thought as incessant back and forth from the line on a white sheet to the threads drawn on the fabric, I draw as I embroider, like sensitive plates
